Property Management Intern: Build the Future of Communities!

Job Function

Core Learning and Contribution Areas

As an intern, you will move beyond theory to actively participate in the

daily operations of multiple estates. You'll build a strong foundation for a future career by gaining insights into every facet of property governance and site management.

  1. Real Estate Operations & Maintenance Excellence
  • Master the Anatomy of an Estate: Understand the complex processes that ensure properties remain safe, functional, and well-presented.
  • Compliance Architect: Gain exposure to the non-negotiable legal framework, including the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act (BMSMA), house rules, and by-laws.
  • Site Scout & Quality Assurance: Participate in essential site inspections of properties, facilities, and equipment alongside managers and contractors, ensuring quality control is upheld.
  • Preventive Strategy: Learn how effective preventive maintenance programs are designed, implemented, and reviewed to preempt major issues.
  1. Governance and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Operational Executioner: Observe and assist in the day-to-day operations of multiple sites, seeing how strategic objectives are planned and executed effectively on the ground.
  • Community Connector: Gain experience in liaising with council members, residents, and service providers, mastering the art of professional communication and relationship building.
  • Governance Insider: Attend Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Council Meetings with managers, observing the critical governance processes of Management Corporations (MCs) in action.
  1. Strategic Administration & Project Support
  • Documentation Dynamo: Support the preparation of official documents, including notices, meeting minutes, circulars, and reminders—the backbone of community communication.
  • Contract Reviewer: Assist in the review of contractor quotations for repairs, renovations, and maintenance works, learning about financial accountability and value assessment.
  • Information Manager: Gain exposure to the essential filing systems, documentation, and records that provide operational intelligence for effective estate management.
  • Industry Insight Builder: Develop a thorough understanding of assigned estates and stay aware of industry trends and new regulations that affect property operations.

Requirements

    You must possess or be currently pursuing a

    NiTec, Higher NiTec, Diploma or a higher qualification.

    Knowledge Advantage

    A

    Basic understanding of Management Corporations (MCs) and the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act (BMSMA) is preferred. This shows you're serious about the industry!

    Essential Skills

     

    Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a must. You should be able to manage tasks efficiently while engaging effectively with people.

    Attitude & Drive

    We seek a

    proactive attitude coupled with a genuine eagerness to learn and contribute. You'll be involved in real projects, not just paperwork.

    Communication

    You must be

    fluent in English with excellent communication skills. Clarity and professionalism are key when dealing with residents and councils. We love to have multilingual too!
